Valorant New Agents in 2023

Valorant New Agents in 2023

Exciting news for enthusiasts of VALORANT, as Riot Games, the developer of the game, has announced that several new agents are set to join the game this year.

John Goscicki, who is responsible for creating characters for VALORANT at Riot, stated that players can anticipate three new agents to be introduced in the game in 2023.

Later this year, a new initiator and sentinel will be added to the game. Although Riot was silent about the class of the third agent that will be joining the game in 2023.

It is probable that the third agent is still in the early stages of development, and Riot may not be able to determine which class it would belong to, or there may be a new agent class added to the game, as speculated by some fans. However, this remains to be confirmed.

Goscicki emphasized that not every class would have the same number of agents as new ones are added to the game. “We need to maintain a good balance of roles and game styles,” he said. “But as we’ve added a lot more agents to the game, we don’t necessarily need to have a perfect one-to-one balance across all of the roles.”

In the State of the Agents video, Goscicki hinted that the next agent to be added to the game would feature a novel approach to checking corners and accessing locations. However, he did not provide any additional information on this.

Harbor, the most recent controller agent added to VALORANT, was released in October of last year. His influence has mostly been felt in professional play, since he is not very popular in ranked and other game modes. According to The Spike, a VALORANT data site, he has been played nine times at VCT LOCK//IN, while Brimstone, another controller, has been picked only seven times so far.
